Khloe Kardashian is ready to finally walk away from her marriage to former Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom.

Kardashian, 31, filed for divorce from Odom for a second time on Thursday, The Times confirmed with a representative for the reality TV personality.

Odom, 36, and the star of the reality juggernaut that is Keeping Up With the Kardashians, married after just a month-long courtship in 2009.

In December 2013, Kardashian filed for divorce from the NBA star, after the couple faced struggles with infertility, accusations of infidelity and Odom’s substance abuse problems.

Though both parties signed off on the divorce paperwork in July 2015, the decree had yet to be approved by a judge in October 2015 when Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel.

While Odom was hospitalised, suffering from a four-day coma, Kardashian withdrew her divorce petition in order to have the authority to make medical decisions on Odom’s behalf.

Odom eventually recovered, and though the pair didn’t reconcile, neither party moved forward with the divorce.

In recent months, Kardashian had expressed unhappiness with Odom’s alleged drug issues, tweeting in March that she felt “helpless.” In April, rumours surfaced that the reality star was looking to refile divorce paperwork, something that Odom remarked was made more difficult by the constant speculation surrounding the couple.

Reports of the filing come just over a week after Kardashian posted an essay in Lena Dunham’s newsletter Lenny about her faith and included her thoughts on divorce and her struggle to prioritise her own wellbeing as a form of protection.

Kardashian appears to have no intention of cutting Odom from her life, however, tweeting to a concerned fan on Monday, “There is no air to clear. [Odom] and I are besties and forever will be! We will never address every rumor. Thats not who we are.”
