Actors in the UAE, get those headshots ready. Abu Dhabi production company Image Nation is ready to give you your big break.
The filming company is due to start production on a television series — their first drama show — later this year, and they have hundreds of roles to fill. (A press release classifies these roles as “leading men and ladies … small speaking roles and scene extras”.)
Casting directors will be looking for South Asian boys between the ages of 8-13, Emirati women between 18-25, Emirati men between 30-55 and Emirati/GCC women between 30-45. Actors must be fluent in Arabic — Gulf, Levant or Egyptian dialects.
Smaller roles will also be available for Arab, Pakistani and Indian individuals.
Professionals interested must send a CV, headshots and links to previous work, if available. Amateurs and non-actors must send contact details, pictures that show full face and body, age, height and weight, and, if possible, a short video of themselves speaking in their everyday voice.
Interested parties must contact talent@imagenation.ae with the above. Successful candidates will receive an email with further information. Auditions will begin on July 19 and continue throughout the year.
