Daredevil may have been one of the only superheroes who stuck around to clean up New York City after the Avengers mess, but in the next season it looks as though the devil in Hell’s Kitchen is getting a bit of help. For better or worse.

The first footage from the new Daredevil season is out, and full of new goodies. Some of this teaser is rehashing the violent first season, but the last 30 seconds is almost entirely new.

Jumping off with a quote from the still absolution-seeking main character Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Daredevil asks in the voice over, “Why do I still feel guilty?”

Here’s hoping that the decision to open the first-ever footage for Daredevil in a casual superhero confession throws more fire on the long-held suspicion that this new season would loosely follow the Daredevil comic run Born Again. A comic whose cover featured Daredevil and character Karen Page careening in front of a stained-glass window.

There’s also a brief glimpse at a smiling new face who could be a new superhero assassin (and Daredevil love interest), Elektra. Fans of the first season may remember the tease this Elektra received after longtime pal Foggy Nelson asked Murdock what happened to the Greek girl he was dating. Murdock’s response, “Didn’t work out.”

Also new to Hell’s Kitchen: The Punisher. Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) was previously announced as Daredevil’s new comic book character addition, and now we’re getting a glimpse into what Daredevil’s corner will look like plus one psychotic, gun-happy vigilante (note the many bullet shells). In the teaser we see the Punisher’s head and his signature logo held up by Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) holding up an X-ray.

No official release date is set; however the new teaser implies that it will air sometime in 2016.
