Two classic Steven Spielberg films, Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark, will screen with a live symphony at Dubai Opera next year.
The titles will become the first orchestral screenings at the Downtown venue on April 19 and 20.
“If you haven’t seen a Hollywood blockbuster accompanied by a full live symphony orchestra then you’ve truly never experienced the incredible power of music to bring films to life,” said Jasper Hope, Dubai Opera’s chief executive.
“Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark may take you to different realms, but both are packed with adventure and suspense as well as some of the greatest modern film music ever composed.”
The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra will perform the original score written by John Williams, who earned a nomination for Best Original Score for Raiders of the Lost Ark.
