A film about celebrated primatologist Jane Goodall will open the fourth edition of Imagine Science Abu Dhabi, an interdisciplinary festival celebrating science through films and art, from March 8 to 10. Organised by The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), the event will feature movie screenings, an exhibition, an art-science panel discussion and educational workshops, among others.

The screening of Goodall’s film Jane will be followed by Unrest, which follows filmmaker Jennifer Brea’s own struggles with and search for treatment for the little-understood condition of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The closing film will be director Michael Almereyda’s science fiction Marjorie Prime, which explores Alzheimer’s disease and plausible artificial intelligence scenarios in the near future in order to turn a technological mirror on the complexities of memory, love, and familial relationship.

Short films from the UAE and the region will also be screened.

The film festival and science-art exhibition will take place at NYUAD Saadiyat Island campus and is open to the public. While the Hybrid Futures Exhibition is free to attend, tickets to the festival will be available mid February at nyuad-artscenter.org.
