Egyptian film Cactus Flower will screen as part of Diff365@Vox at Mall of the Emirates, from February 8 until February 21.
The film, directed by Hala Elkoussy, revolves around three homeless strangers who come together on the streets of Cairo. Aida, a struggling actress, her elderly neighbour Samiha, and street-smart kid Yassin form a bond while seeking shelter.
Cactus Flower was supported by the Dubai Film Market’s production programme Enjaaz. It previously screened at the Dubai International Film Festival, where Menha Al Batroui won the Best Actress accolade during the Muhr Awards.
The film will screen at Cinema 9 in Vox, Mall of the Emirates. Tickets are available online and at the Vox MoE box office.
