Winning 250gms of gold would make your day, and receiving the prize from a Bollywood actor would probably make it sparkle even more.
This DSF, that’s a reality: Bollywood actors Neha Dhupia, Prachi Desai, Soha Ali Khan, Mughda Godse and Gulshan Grover will take turns in Dubai to pick out the winners of a raffle held as a part of Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group’s DSF 2013 promotions.
“Each week a leading star will be flown in and the star will do the honours of picking the winner,” said Sunny Chittilappilly, chairman, Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group, in a statement.
Kicking off the gold giveaway campaign is actress and former Miss India Neha Dhupia this Sunday at 9pm at Dubai Gold Souk.
Her appearance will be followed by Prachi Desai of “Rock On!!” fame on January 13, the much-loved Bollywood baddie Gulshan Grover on January 20, Bollywood royalty Soha Ali Khan on January 27 and “Fashion” star Mughda Godse on February 3.
Nothing’s free, however: Participants need to spend at least Dh1,500 on gold jewellery or purchase the Dh800 Candidate City special edition gold coin from any of the participating outlets, which include Joy Alukkas Jewellery, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Meena Jewellers and Sky Jewellery.
