Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is the newest face in the Housefull franchise, says he was initially nervous to do the third film in the series.
Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have acted in the first two Housefull movies.
“I was very nervous when I came to know that I will be doing the film. I do one franchise, Dhoom... and those who [were new in the movie were] nervous. I used to wonder, why be nervous? I understood when I started working on Housefull 3. It was nerve wracking,” Bachchan told reporters in Mumbai on Sunday at the trailer launch of Housefull 3.
“I was nervous as there were two [of the] best actors — [Kumar and Deshmukh] — who have good comic timing. It’s the best franchise. It has not let fans down. I worked hard but it was fun working on the film,” Bachchan added.
Bachchan and Deshmukh have worked together in Bluffmaster, while Bachchan and Kumar did Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya together.
“It was fun working with Ritiesh after a long time. We were in touch. You just pick up from where you left off. I am happy I got the opportunity to work with Akshay, Ritiesh,” Bachchan said.
The Sajid-Farhad directed film, which also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Lisa Haydon, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff and Chunkey Pandey, is slated to release in India on June 3.
The trailer was showcased in theatres in over 100 cities in India at the same time.
