Our spy has been busy doing what he does best again. Spying. Our nameless hero has just sent us snaps of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG and judging from the pic, it looks a little bit tasty.
The most obvious changes compared to the standard CLA are the larger wheels, fitted with bigger brakes, a deeper front spoiler and those bigger side sills.
There’s also the addition of a rear spoiler — this particular photo doesn’t show it, but you’ll have to take our word for that.
Powering the hot premium compact saloon should be a 340bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch auto sending power to all four wheels.
It should do 0-100kph in under five seconds and have more than 400Nm of torque on tap. A CLA 45 AMG badge, in honour of AMG’s 45th anniversary, would look neat, but whether it gets one or not remains to be seen.
