Abu Dhabi: Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Watson left his side reeling at 31 for 3 after getting out cheaply for three as his side chased Sunrisers Hyderabad’s modest total of 133 on Friday.

Rajasthan then riding on the knocks of Ajinkiya Rahane (59) and Stuart Binny (47 not out), somehow huffed and puffed to victory by four wickets with three balls to spare.

Though Watson was pleased with his side’s effort, he went on to reveal he was upset about his form and wanted to get runs quickly.

“I’m very disappointed with the way I have been batting at the moment. I have not made any contribution in the last four innings that I have played, which is extremely disappointing,” said Watson, who felt that his inability to get going at the start of the inning was upsetting but ‘not worrying’.

“The start of my innings is an integral part of my batting to get going. But I also do know how cricket works. Unfortunately, you go downhill when things aren’t going your way. But all that can quickly turn around pretty quickly as well.

“I’m not worried because once you get a few balls in the right areas, everything will change. In the end, as a captain, it is your duty to try and win and contribute with the bat.”

Rahane and Binny, both, showed tremendous resolute and were very watchful on building up a partnership. Though the Mumbaikar later threw away his wicket going for a needless attacking play and got Hyderabad back in the match, skipper Watson came to the former’s support saying: “I think Ajinkya did a brilliant job with Stuart Binny to build a partnership at a crucial time. There is never an ideal time to get out. I think we were well set up, with the quality and depth in the batting to come. We knew we had a lot of batting to come up and James Faulkner came and finished it off with two hits.”

Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Shikhar Dhawan, meanwhile, felt it was below-par batting that let his side down in the four-wicket loss.

“We lost a wicket in the first over and then we had to build a partnership. We were in a bit of pressure. Once you have a good start then you can consolidate. Myself and Warner did have a partnership but we both got out after getting set,” said Dhawan, who top scored for his side with 34-ball 38.

“I think had one of us played more overs after getting set then we could have posted good total. In the end we were 20 to 30 runs short of a winning total,” felt Dhawan, who had a forgettable World T20 and ended up on the bench.
