Dubai: IPL in the UAE has been the talk of Twitter since the cricket began a few days ago.
Here, Gulf News looks at what the main protagonists are saying.
First up, David Warner of the Sunrisers Hyderabad posed for the obligatory Burj Khalifa shot while taking a stroll around Downtown Dubai with teammate Dale Steyn.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli posted this snap of three of Royal Challengers Bangalore's finest at a photoshoot:

Others kept their tweeting to purely cricket matters, including South African RCB star AB de Villiers, who had this to say following the victory over Delhi Daredevils:
Good start for @RCBTweets last night. Very happy with a solid performance first up. Exciting to see @YUVSTRONG12 hit the ball like that!— AB de Villiers (@ABdeVilliers17) April 18, 2014
And in contrast Kevin Pietersen gave the Daredevils' response to an opening match defeat:
The #IPL is a marathon & not a sprint, so let's not worry about our 1st loss & get back into the mix with a win this eve.. @DelhiDaredevils— Kevin Pietersen (@KP24) April 19, 2014
Back where we began, and Warner puts embarrassment to one side to break out the baby pictures:
Thank god this is the last one! I think I sneezed in a tin of milo!! @CandyFalzon did as well I think 😂 pic.twitter.com/xQolmbL0rj— David Warner (@davidwarner31) April 17, 2014
