The E311 Mohammad Bin Zayed Road extension is 60 per cent complete and, according to the Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi, is expected to open before the end of 2015.
Measuring 62km in length, the extension begins at the current terminus of Mohammad Bin Zayed road at the Dubai-Abu Dhabi border in Seih Shuaib. It passes Ghantoot and heads south towards a new spur that will provide a link to the new Khalifa Port in Kizad. The new road will bypass Shahama and span along the eastern side of Al Falah where it will join with the E20, Abu Dhabi-Sweihan Road.
The road will then join the current stretch that runs through Baniyas, joining up with the E22, Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road, before terminating at the E30, Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Truck Road.
Guides has mapped the exact route in detail, which you won't find anywhere else.
