Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a week-long series of meetings, conferences, and exhibitions whereby governments and experts aim to address sustainable development, clean energy, and sensible economic policies.

The event is being hosted by Masdar. A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mubadala Development Company, the organisation are leading the way in the Middle East by pioneering sustainable practices.

Visitors

A number of meetings between high-profile individuals are by invitation only. However the public is welcome to attend a number of exhibitions, including the Zayed Future Energy Prize Awards Ceremony, World Future Energy Exhibition, Solar Expo, International Water Summit, and the EcoWaste Exhibition. Visitors will need to register here or on the door.

Solar Expo

Solar power is playing an ever-increasing role in providing the UAE with energy. The new-for-2016 Solar Expo will showcase the latest innovations in photovoltaic, concentrated solar power and other cutting-edge solar technologies.

Sustainable Transport Zone

More fuel-efficient vehicles has been one of the most popular aspects of improved sustainability. The Sustainable Transport Zone will showcase a variety of radical zero and low-emission vehicles.

Blue Economy Summit

The governments of the Seychelles and the UAE, in partnership with UNESCO-Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, will investigate options for practical implementation of the Blue Economy example to support global environmental essentials.

Future Cities Forum

By 2050, it is expected that 75 per cent of the global population will live in an urban environment. The Future Cities Forum will give stakeholders a chance to highlight challenges that future urban policy-makers must consider.
