The photograph shows a manhole that is left partly open as the cover is broken. It is located on Al Intifada Road in Sharjah.
It is a residential area and thus poses a danger to people, especially in the morning hours when children are going to school. They are in a hurry and may not notice the gaping hole. At night, it is even more dangerous as there is minimal light in the area and people cannot see the manhole in the dark. Anyone could fall in and get injured.
I request the authorities to please cover this manhole properly to avoid any mishap. It has been in this condition for at least three months.
