‘Dishoom’ banned in Pakistan, Varun Dhawan upset

Director Rohit Dhawan’s latest film, Dishoom, out in the UAE now, has been banned in Pakistan, and its lead actor, Varun Dhawan, is really upset about it.

Dhawan, who plays a rookie police officer named Junaid Ansari in the film, tweeted on Saturday: “Really upset that Dishoom is banned in Pakistan. I don’t think the film eventually shows any country in a bad light. It’s a wrong decision.”

Dishoom centres around India’s top batsman who goes missing in the Middle East and two police officials from either side of the Arabian Sea team up for a 36-hour manhunt. For tabloid!’s review of Dishoom, click here.

The film also stars John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez.
