Fujairah: Dibba were held to a 2-2 draw by Arabian Gulf League (AGL) strugglers Hatta in Round 7 of the campaign at Fujairah Stadium on Thursday.

Samuel Rosa opened the scoring for the visitors against the run of play after only 11 minutes.

That seemed to sting Dibba into action and Driss Fettouhi soon had them on level terms only four minutes later.

The hosts them moved into the lead when Alassane Diallo found the back of the net just after the break.

However, any hope of all three points for Dibba were dashed when Rosa struck again for his second on the night and third of the season to ensure Hatta travelled home with a draw and what might prove to be a vital point in their quest for top-flight survival.

The draw will be welcomed by Hatta boss Nizar Mahrous as his side have had a very poor start to the season with just one win and recently lost to both Abu Dhabi clubs Al Wahda and Al Jazira. They had been struggling at the back after conceding 19 goals in their first six games, with an average over three goals conceded per game for the worst defensive record in the league.

They may have leaked another two on Thursday evening, but they managed to snap their losing streak.

The result meant Dibba failed to make any great moves in the table and are sixth on eight points. Hatta are 11th on eight points.
