A play set in Dubai’s Jumeirah Lakes Tower (JLT) neighbourhood called Just Like That will be performed at The Junction from April 26 to 28. The production, inspired by the city’s multi-cultural environment, tells the story of six nationalities who live on the same floor of an apartment building.

There will be clash of perspectives, culture, beliefs and way of life, say those involved in the production.

“Working on this script has been an amazing journey. An original script like this evolves on a workshop basis where we keep editing as we go along and wherein each scene gets revamped in accordance with the different colours and personalities brought on by working with such a diverse cast of actors,” said director Priyanka Johri.

Writer, producer and actor Asad Raza Khan added: “We wanted to leverage and showcase the entire multi-cultural environment here and present their stories. JLT shows what we all face every day and tries to connect with each and every one who comes to watch the play.”

Tickets, priced at Dh100, are available online.
