Remember when the rumours flew thick and fast about the Ash-Abhi engagement? Both stolidly claimed to be "just good friends" until they formally announced their wedding date!
Now top Bollywood star Rani Mukherjee is in the eye of a gossip storm. The Indian news/entertainment channels and websites were full of the apparent engagement of Rani and Aditya Chopra, prince of Yash Raj films - the man who made his mark in Bollywood with Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jeyenge.
'Not true'
The two supposedly got engaged on Monday at a quiet ceremony attended by close friends.
But a spokesperson for Yash Raj Films rubbished the rumours.
"It is not true," Monika Bhattacharya told The Times of India.
The Times also said actor Anupam Kher, supposedly on the guest list, also trashed the rumour.
Divorce
Aditya was married to Payal Malhotra in 2001. He filed for divorce early this year. Rani has always said she had nothing to do with the marriage breaking up.
