“The Hunger Games” trilogy, written by Suzanne Collins, follows the life of a girl named Katniss Everdeen in a future where children from different districts are sent to the ‘Capitol’ to fight and kill each other in an annual tournament known as ‘The Hunger Games’.

I came to know about this series after its second film franchise, ‘Catching Fire’, was released. So, I figured, why not read the books as well?

The books made me understand a lot more of The Hunger Games universe than the movies.

The books had a lot to offer and had many factors that kept me interested throughout the series. The character of Katniss was a major part of it all. The reason her character was interesting (to me, of course) was because she had to learn to cope with her life that leads from one strange thing to another. The series had a satisfying end as well, which ended with Katniss taking a break from her bizarre life.

The Hunger Games is a good book series to read when passing time. I read the entire series while I was travelling. Overall, the books are a good read and really interesting.
