Dubai: A new dollar millionaire has just been named in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion.
Raffle organisers have announced that a Dutch national, Piao Ma, has just won $1 million, making him effectively Dh3.6 million richer.
The winner’s lucky ticket number 1722 was drawn by Dubai Duty Free officials at Dubai International Airport in Concourse A on Tuesday.
The Dutch national from Gelderland bought the ticket online and was not available for comment.
“[He] will be pleasantly surprised when he finds out that he just became the latest $1 million winner,” organisers said in a statement.
Two more individuals also got lucky on the same day, following the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Promotion draw.
Vijay Bhatia from India just won for himself a Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe in Series 1659, thanks to his lucky ticket number 1222.
Bhatia is a 40-year-old banker and has been participating in the promotion. “He received the news while enjoying his summer holiday in London with his family,” Dubai Duty Free said.
Another Indian national living in Dubai, identified as Uvaisudeen, also won a BMW S 1000 bike in Series 309.
