Barca superstar Lionel Messi lands in Dubai
Argentine forward in the UAE to take part in Dubai International Sports Conference
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the 10th Dubai International Sports Conference on Sunday alongside Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
The two-day sports conference has guest speakers including Gianni Infantino, the Secretary General of Uefa, and former Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard.
Messi posted the above picture, taken at the Madinat Jumeirah, on Instagram to announce his arrival.
He is the favourite for the 2016 Ballon d'Or, having led Barcelona on a stunning period of success that has seen them land five trophies, including the Champions League and La Liga.
The trophy for the world footballer of the year is currently held by Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid.
