Dubai: Bollywood power-couple Sri Devi and Boney Kapoor will be in Dubai on Thursday to unveil the first look of Sultanat, an ambitious Indo-Pakistan television production that features talents from both countries.
Produced by Dubai-based production house A B Pictures, who co-produced Salman Khan-starrer Ready, the ensemble drama boasts stars including former Bigg Boss winner Shweta Tiwari, Javed Sheikh, Deepak Shirke and Mustafa Qureshi in principal roles. The pair do not feature in the show.
"It's one of the most expensive serials ever produced. The quality of production is high and we have shot it in locations including Dubai's Palm Jumeirah, Downtown Burj, London and Bangkok," said Faisal Bhatti, CEO of A B Pictures in an interview with tabloid!.
Though he declined to reveal numbers, the 30-episode soap opera is slated to be broadcast in the UAE, Pakistan, India and London. The details of broadcasting are yet to be decided.
While all eyes will be on the cast of Sultanat and their song and dance spectacle on Thursday, Bollywood guest Sri Devi will also be one of the highlights of the evening. The pair, among the top stars of the ‘80s and early 90s and remembered for hits including Judaai and Mr India are now perched for a comeback with Bollywood film English Vinglish.
