Abu Dhabi: From the moment the show starts, with horses running onto the stage and going around in circles, it is easy to tell you are about to witness something majestic.

There is something absolutely mesmerising about the horses and how they put on a flawless performance without any apparent guidance from their trainer or rider.

Cavalia, a production that aims to highlight the relationship between man and horse, will showcase 43 horses and 33 performers who combine aerial stunts with trick riding and vaulting, among other acts.

The show promises to captivate as there are horses and performers all over the stage — left, right and centre — while trapeze artists jump through the air.

The show will also keep you on the edge of your seat as riders perform tricks on their horses; they hang on to the saddle pad from the side of the horse as it rushes from one end of the stage to the other. You may even catch a performer maintaining perfect balance while standing upside down on the horse.

At one point, what seems like a stampede of unleashed horses runs around the stage. Not to worry though: every one of them is in sync with the performers and knows exactly what to do.

The oriental music played live by musicians in the background sets the atmosphere for this Arabian fairytale.

But apart from the stunts, the show has an interesting plotline that follows the history of the UAE, so even if you are not a horse enthusiast, this must-attend show is bound to leave an impression.
