“Peter Pan: The Never Ending Story” will descend into Dubai for ten shows from March 5-13 as part of a world arena tour.

The spectacle, which is based on J. M. Barrie’s tale of a young boy who never wants to grow up, will have 50 dancers, stunt people, acrobats, magicians and actors performing at Dubai World Trade Centre Arena.

Directed by Luc Petit, the show will attempt to transport audiences into another world. Walls, forests and buildings will “dissolve, disappear and miraculously reform”, according to organisers, and Peter himself will take flight without the usual help of a wire or rope, but through an innovative free-flying performance technique.

The show will include a 16-track original score including music from Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Supertramp, Seal and Puccini. Matt Dunkley, in charge of musical direction, has worked on films including Black Swan, Moulin Rouge! and The Dark Knight. Choreography will be led by classically-trained ex-ballet dancer and Swiss native Martino Muller.
