Dubai: Bollywood thespian Naseeruddin Shah is bringing his Hindi-Urdu play Ismat Apa Ke Naam to Dubai next week.
More of a home production, which includes Shah, his wife Rantna Pathak and his daughter Heeba Shah in pivotal roles, the play will be staged at Ductac in Mall Of The Emirates on January 20 and 21.
"We started off with English plays but all of us felt the urge to do a play in our own language … It's a play about human relations and it consists of three short stories that has a timeless appeal to it," said Shah in an interview with tabloid!.
The National School of Drama graduate, who has acted in over 170 Indian films, is one of the few actors who has sucessufully straddled popular and art-house cinema. His theatrical productions are no less extraordinary.
The tickets for the play, organised by ADSS and Team Square, are priced at Dh500, Dh350, Dh250 and Dh150. For details, contact 04 3414777.
