Music legend Rod Stewart says he is planning on giving the UAE “a night to remember” when he plays his debut gig in Dubai.

Scheduled for May 7 at 7he Sevens Stadium, Stewart, who will be supported by ’80s masters Spandau Ballet, added he was looking forward to the date.

“I’m already looking forward to May 7 and am counting on giving the audience a night to remember,” Stewart said. “And how perfect that Spandau Ballet is adding their magic to the bill.”
AEG Live Middle East has announced yesterday that tickets for the concert will go on sale on Saturday at 9am.

Tickets, priced Dh350 for general admission and Dh750 for the Golden Circle, will be available at rodstewartdubai.com and all Virgin Megastores.

Offline ticket sales will also be available at selected Costa Coffee outlets, Spinneys, the Sevens Stadium and Emirates Headquarters.

Earlier this week tabloid! exclusively reported Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley saying the band could not wait to get to Dubai. “There is a such an international community over there and it is great to be able to take our show over to them,” he said.

“Our shows in the UK and Europe have gone down so well, we can’t wait to carry on playing. Also, to be able to perform on the same bill as the legendary Rod Stewart will be great fun and such an honour.”
