The Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington will no longer perform on the first night of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival on February 13, promotor’s have confirmed to tabloid!

“The band management explained that this cancellation of the whole tour is due to a scheduling conflict, which forced the band to cancel all their dates in Asia, Australia, South Africa, and the Middle East including Dubai,” Chillout Productions wrote in a press release.

Refunds will be available after February 4 through Ticketmaster.

Organisers said were able to book Earth, Wind & Fire featuring The Al McKay Allstars to perform on opening night at Dubai Festival City park. This show will be free-of-cost to ticket-holders of any of the February 14, 19 and 20 shows in all sections – Regular, Middle, Front Pits and the VIP Terrace – as well as those who claim a refund for their Stone Temple Pilots tickets. The show will not be open to the general public outside of ticket-holders, nor will tickets for the show go on sale. Ticket-holders are urged to be present at the venue by 8.30pm at the latest.

Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington had plans to hit Indonesia, Australia and the UAE in upcoming months. Organisers of Australian festival Soundwave first broke the news of the cancellations in an official statement.

“The recording of the new album has now gone beyond schedule and sadly the availability of the recording studio, engineers and the producer or lack thereof dictates that the band have had to cancel their upcoming engagements,” they wrote.
