The sand has barely been raked clean from last Friday’s uber-successful Sandance and organisers have already announced The Stereophonics as heandliners for the next event on November 9.

Booked for the “after sunset slot”, the Welsh rock band is most famous for hits including Pick A Part That’s New and Dakota.

An acoustic sunset act and “after dark” electronic artists are to be announced later this week, following last weekend’s event with The Fray, Mat Kearney and Dizzee Rascal.

A new Sandance Bay chill-out area was introduced as well as a temporary tattoo parlour.

Since forming in 1992, Stereophonics have produced seven studio albums, five of which have topped the UK album charts. Led by front man Kelly Jones, the group has received praise for their live performances and have headlined major festivals including Glastonbury, V Festival and Oxegen.
