Dubai: Just weeks into a new year and the people at Dubai's Music Room are ready to go.
English alternative rock band Republica, most famous for their 1995 and 2010 re-release Ready To Go, are heading to Dubai for a one-off performance at what's fast becoming a new hotspot for big names.
Former Flowered Up keyboard player Tim Dorney and Andy Todd founded Republica in the '90s and things really took off when they brought red-haired lead singer Saffron on board.
They are bringing their aggressive and electronic sounds to the UAE on January 13, supported by local boys and winner of Best Band in Dubai Award 2010, Juliana Down.
