English rose Ellie Goulding and London’s Rita Ora will headline a star-studded show on December 31 at Atlantis Beach, The Palm, Dubai.
An equally-impressive trio of superstar DJs — Paul Van Dyke, Roger Sanchez and Zane Lowe — complete the beach-front festival line-up.
Ticket price and information will be announced in the next few days but organisers are expecting a sell-out event following last year’s success.
Kosovan-born Ora hit the headlines last week having suffered a slight wardrobe malfunction when one of her ample assets made a surprise appearance from a white leather catsuit as she performed at the Red Bull Culture Clash event at London’s Wembley Arena.
But given the undiluted energy — “I’m a fire cracker on stage” — which goes into each show, perhaps the Shine Ya Light hitmaker can’t be blamed.
The 21-year-old British singer-songwriter and actress released her debut self-titled album, Ora, which debuted at No1 in the UK. The album spawned three number one singles, Hot Right Now, How We Do (Party) and R.I.P. making Ora the first artist of the year to have three consecutive number one singles on the UK Official Singles Chart.
With Goulding’s powerful vocals, Ora’s on stage antics and some of the biggest names from the DJ world in one place at one time, Sandance could be the party to be at this NYE.
Tickets will be priced Dh250 (early bird), Dh295 (advanced), Dh350 (on the door) and Dh500 (VIP). Go to platinumlist.ae for more.
