If you had fun at RedFestDXB and Blended this year, we’ve got some good news: Both festivals are returning to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre next year.

RedFestDXB will again take place on February 12 and 13 in 2015. The two-day festival brought young and rising heart-throbs such as Conor Maynard and Rita Ora to town this year and was headlined by indie rock outfit The Lumineers and seasoned pop star Jessie J. Organisers said they will have DJs playing across two stages as well as an “unrivalled artist line-up” of pop, R’n’B and EDM artists in the upcoming edition.

Blended, a blues, jazz, soul, roots and folk festival that took place for the first time in 2014, will be back on April 30 and May 1 of 2015. At its inaugural edition, the fest hosted Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Aloe Blacc and Joss Stone among others. At this relaxed fest, audience members near the front of the stage can lounge on sofas while others are invited to sit picnic-style in the grass.

“We always felt that what Dubai’s and in fact the region’s music scene was really lacking was a festival concept like we see in other parts of the world, and the reception we had to both RedfestDXB and Blended was testament to this,” said Thomas Oveson, COO of Done Events, in a press release.

“We will be spending the summer relentlessly working on the line-ups for both festivals, ensuring they best represent the individuality and uniqueness that each festival brings, with more exciting announcements expected throughout the autumn.”

The artist line-up is due to be announced in August; check facebook.com/redfestdxb and blended.ae for further announcements in the autumn.
