Don’t stop them now. The Music of Queen are bringing Queen’s biggest and brightest hits to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on November 28, and they will certainly rock you.
The musical spectacle, led by the stars of London’s West End hit musical We Will Rock You, Rachel Woodling, Ricardo Afonso, Peter Eldridge and Jenna Lee-James, will include the band’s fan favourites spanning four decades, from We Will Rock You, Somebody to Love and A Kind of Magic to Fat-Bottomed Girls, Don’t Stop Me Now and Bohemian Rhapsody.
The four entertainers, who just wrapped up a UK tour, will be joined on stage in Dubai by a 16-person band and a local orchestra, making up more than 70 performers altogether.
The local orchestra are the UAE National Symphony Orchestra, a collection of 46 home-grown musicians formed in 2010, led by musical director Andrew Berryman.
“The music scene is massively growing in the UAE and I’m so excited that our talented orchestra members will be working with internationally acclaimed performers and musicians to bring the hits of Queen to Dubai,” said Berryman.
Tickets to the performance are available through Virgin Megastores from November 12, Dh195 standing and Dh395 seated.
