Tickets for this weekend’s Elements Festival have been reduced to Dh 85 according to organisers Luce Che Vola.

The 12-hour music event at Dubai Festival City (DFC) featuring Grammy Award-winning T-Pain, Gorillaz Sound System, Euro-trance legend DJ Sash!, TocaDisco and Guru Josh Project, was priced Dh400 for a regular standing ticket until today.

The VIP tickets have not been reduced and remain Dh650.

The organizers say existing ticketholders will be reimbursed the difference of Dh315 per ticket and should contact either the ticket outlet they purchased the tickets from or the Elements helpline number at 050 8299941.

Organisers said: “Music shouldn’t be a privilege it’s an experience that should be enjoyed by all. By reducing the price to Dh85, we can ensure that this extraordinary festival is accessible to all music enthusiasts, of all ages and of all backgrounds.”

The first Royal Drive, an event which Elements was due to mark the end of, was cancelled yesterday due to unforeseen circumstances.

The two-day luxury supercar event, due to take place this weekend (March 19 and 20) has been postponed and will not take place this weekend in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

However, Elements, which hopes to attract a capacity crowd of 15,000 at DFC, is still planned as scheduled for Friday, March 19 from 3pm.

Tickets, priced Dh 85, are available from www.ticketingboxoffice.com and at all Virgin Megastores. For more information visit www.elementsme.com
