Dubai: The Philippines new acoustic sensation Princess will perform in Dubai for an intimate gig.
Princess is the latest artist from the Philippine music scene to rank high among other top Filipino acoustic acts such as Aiza Seguerra, Kitchie Nadal and MYMP.
The young artist, who has a Communication Arts and Advertising Management degree from De La Salle and an MBA from the University of the Philippines, released her debut album in 2009 entitled Addicted To Acoustic, which has been one of the Philippines biggest-selling acoustic albums today.
The album features distinctive covers of popular songs, which have become hits in the Philippines.
Princess, who was formerly a full-time marketing executive and part-time college teacher, plays the guitar and also writes her own songs.
It was however a gamble when she ditched a more stable and secure nine-to-five job in favour of a career in music, which nonetheless paid off in a big way.
