We have good news for the One Direction family. If you missed out on watching their concert film, Where We Are, on October 11 and 12 (the film was set to screen globally for two days only), you still have a chance to experience it in all its glory. The film returns to VOX cinemas across the UAE on October 17 for one last day, due to popular demand.

The concert film, which includes a 22-minute interview with the boys, showcases the band’s full gig from San Siro stadium in Milan.

The opening interview is conducted by executive director Ben Winston and proves to be one of their more candid and relaxed chats, covering everything from the lonely life of hotel rooms, the guys’ experiences as “literally the worst celebrities” ever, and their feelings of unworthiness in the face of playing stadiums that have seen performances by the likes of AC/DC.

The concert portion of the film follows the complete 1D experience, from the fans’ arrival at the venue, being held back by security as they prepare to make a run for the stage, to the very last moments of overwhelmed fans hugging each other through tears as the stadium empties out once again.

It showcases the band’s mid-show banter and speeches, as well as a few sentimental moments where the tens of thousands of fans spell out “1D family” in the crowd or hold up their childhood photos during Story of My Life. A particularly moving moment was when the audience filled in the end of Little Things, written for the band by Ed Sheeran, their voices echoing throughout the stadium.

The film also stocks up on lighthearted instants. During a quick behind-the-scenes glance, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson dash backstage for a bathroom break, lining up to use a portable washroom while Liam Payne moans about being abandoned on stage.

The screening of the film follows the end of the band’s tour, which wrapped up in Miami on October 5. The band is set to release their album Four on November 17. They will release a music video for their current single, Steal My Girl, on October 24.
