November Film Buzz all about books
The monthly themed Diff screenings this month will focus on famous adaptations
Co-curated and supported by The British Council, things kick off with the Middle Eastern premiere of Submarine, the British comedy tale of social outcast 15-year-old Oliver Tate, based on the book by Joe Dunthorne. Other films showing include Project Nim, a documentary based on Elizabeth Hess’s biography about an adorable chimpanzee adopted by a human family and emotional thriller We Need to Talk about Kevin based on the Orange Prize-winning novel by Lionel Shriver, starring Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton.
Film Buzz takes place on the last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each month with screenings starting at 7.30pm. Entry is free and operates on a first-come-first-served basis.
This month’s films will be screened from November 26 to 28. Go to dubaifilmfest.com
