Heaven, Rebecca Ferguson
Rating 4/5
2010's Brit X Factor alumnus, Rebecca Ferguson bucks the talent TV trend, and there's not a cover or soppy ballad in sight on this album, which follows where strong single Nothing's Real But Love leads. Every song has been co-written by Rebecca, and bluesy tune Teach Me How To Be Loved shines. As soulful as Adele, but with a dash more blues.

Born and Raised, John Mayer
Rating 3/5
John Mayer channels a totally new reinvented southern rock and country sound on his fifth album, marking the singer's return to music after a two-year break. The mellow first single, Shadow Days, and rocky title track, Born And Raised, stand out, while Age Of Worry, with it's Americana edge has to be our favourite track on the album.
