Dubai: Linkin Park have confirmed they will perform at the Yasalam after-race concerts at this year’s Abu Dhabi Formula 1.

The Californian rock group are appearing on September 13, at a concert exclusively for Formula 1 race-day ticket holders, event organisers on Wednesday said.

The band’s lead vocalist, Chester Bennington, says the concert will be a chance for fans to hear music from their upcoming album ‘A Thousand Suns’.
“We're looking forward to playing at the 2010 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concert this year,” he said. “We can't wait to share our new music with our fans in Abu Dhabi.”

“Following the successful performance of Aerosmith last year, FLASH entertainment are hoping Linkin Park will blow the audience away at the Yasalam After-Race concerts on Yas Island this year,” John Lickrish, Managing Director, FLASH Entertainment, added.
tabloid! already broke the news that American R’n’B star Kelis would be part of the line up at the sport event’s concert series.
