Flying between the US and the UK promoting his debut album, Simon Cowell’s protege Labrinth has found the time to slot a UAE date into his busy schedule.

The music mogul’s first non-talent show signing in six years jets into Abu Dhabi for a show at Etoiles on July 13.

His performance at the Emirates Palace club’s regular night Bring Down the House will be his first in the Middle East.

Best known for his hit Earthquake, which took a top-five position on music charts around the world, Labrinth started his quest in the music business working with Tinie Tempah on club and chart-topping single Pass Out.

In just two years, the 23-year-old has been rocketed to the top of British charts and is currently having a crack at the US, having played the famous Viper Room just days ago. His debut-album, Electronic Earth, reached No 2 in the UK charts earlier this year, and collaborations with Usher, Rihanna and Cheryl Cole are now on the cards.

Doors open at 11.30pm and admission is free before 1am. For reservations, call 02-6908960.
