Ke$ha may not be making a triumphant return to RedFestDXB’s line-up just yet. But Canadian singer Kiesza (pronounced Kai-za) has joined the bill for this year’s event, set to take place on February 12 and 13. She is the only artist to have been announced thus far.

“In addition to our fantastic headline artists, soon to be announced, adding Kiesza to the RedFestDXB lineup of more than ten international performers means that fans will be treated to seeing a true rising star,” said Thomas Ovesen, COO of Done Events, in a statement. “This is a must-see artist, and I predict one of 2015’s favourites.”

25-year-old Kiesza rose to fame after uploading her hit song Hideaway to the song-sharing website, Soundcloud, in January of 2014. She shopped it around to radio DJs in the UK, and BBC’s Annie Mac took a chance on the song after, Kiesza says, she had fallen “in love with” it. By April, the catchy tune was No. 1 on the UK charts, and made itself comfortable on America’s Top 40 throughout the summer.

Her debut album, Sounds of a Woman, is expected to release in November.

Tickets for RedFestDXB will begin at Dh350, but have yet to go on sale. Fans can register for ticket pre-sale at redfestdxb.com.
