Local rock band Juliana Down will open for 30 Seconds to Mars at their latest Dubai show, organisers have announced.

30 Seconds to Mars, the band behind The Kill, This Is War and From Yesterday, are set to perform at the official concert of the Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) at Dubai World Trade Centre on April 10.

Juliana Down are one of the region’s biggest home grown acts, and the first to sign a major record deal with Sony Music Middle East. In the past, they’ve opened for international artists such as Maroon 5, Muse and Guns N’ Roses.

“It’s an honour to open for 30 Seconds to Mars and represent the UAE. I hope we can be an inspiration to our fans. This event is going to be one of our greatest performances to date,” said Dia Hassan, lead singer of Juliana Down, in a press release.

*Tickets to the 30 Seconds to Mars concert are sold separately from MEFCC tickets. They are priced Dh295 (General Admission), Dh395 (Fan Pit) and Dh550 (VIP), available from ticketmaster.ae. A dedicated website has also been created for the event at MarsInDubai.com.
