So what is Diana King up to these days?

The singer-songwriter, who reached stardom with her first single Shy Guy in 1994, will be in Dubai on March 7 at XL Beach Club, Habtoor Grand Beach Resort and Spa.

King will be a guest performer at the "Rep your flag concert" - a reggae event in recognition of the many nationalities in the melting pot that is the UAE, organisers told Gulf News.

King is expected to belt out some of her hits, including I Say a Little Prayer, the soundtrack of the 1997 hit movie My Best Friend's Wedding, which starred Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney and Cameron Diaz.

King will be joined by DJs Tsunami, Justin Don Corneille and Major Flow.

At the day-and-night-themed reggae beach fest, fans are encouraged to "wear something representing where they come from and show their pride in their  country."
