Ready to dance? Sensation, the world’s leading dance music event, is making its debut in Dubai. And for the first time ever — right in time for the nice breeze — it will be held outdoors. The Meydan Racecourse will bring up to 15,000 people together on October 31 for the all-white event dubbed Source of Light.
“An outdoor edition has always been a dream of ours, but it is a huge challenge in terms of production. After 14 years of indoor successes with Sensation, it is a fantastic experience organising the very first outdoor edition against the backdrop of Dubai,” said founder Duncan Stutterheim.
Sensation combines stunning spectacles and big name acts from around the world. It was born in 2000 in the party central city of Amsterdam and has since toured over 30 countries, from Thailand and Chile to Turkey and Romania. It’s drawn out millions of visitors in the past decade.
The line-up of DJs coming to Dubai has yet to be announced. Previous Sensation events have brought out Paul Van Dyk, David Guetta, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and the Swedish House Mafia.
Tickets for the event will go on sale at noon on May 6 through sensation.com/dubai. Package offers will be available, which include option of flights, hotel stay and transfer to the event.
Regular tickets are Dh375. Early bird tickets are Dh325. The event is 21+ only.
