Arrested Development coming to Dubai

Dubai: Grammy Award-winning American alternative Hip-Hop group, Arrested Development are bringing their unique tunes and attitude to Dubai.

Founded by members Speech and Headliner in the early 90s, AD quickly became renowned as a positive, Afrocentric alternative to the gangsta rap popular of the decade.

In 1993 the group reached the height of their fame picking up two Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group, and were also named ‘Band of the Year’ by Rolling Stone magazine.

Catch them perform their hit songs live at Chi @The Lodge including Tennessee, Everyday People and Mr Wendal on Thursday, February 2.

AD will be supported by 2 Tone Ska revival band The Beat founded in England in 1978. Their songs fuse ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock, and their lyrics deal with themes of love, unity and sociopolitical topics.
