Lady Gaga has lined up an eclectic bunch of collaborators for her new remix collection.

Following on from her smash duet with Beyoncé, Telephone, Gaga will now be going head-to-head with artists including Pet Shop Boys, Passion Pit and Marilyn Manson.

Released on May 10, The Remix compiles 17 rare and unreleased versions of her songs. It will be the third iteration of her phenomenally successful debut The Fame, which was upgraded into The Fame Monster last year. The record this week returned to number one in the UK for a fourth stint at the top.

Manson features on the Chew Fu remix of Love Game, Passion Pit have a go at Telephone, while Pet Shop Boys tackle Eh Eh. Other artists to rework Gaga's songs include Alphabeat, Frankmuzik, Stuart Price, Monarchy and Robots to Mars.

The news came as Gaga broke YouTube records, with her channel becoming the first to record one billion viewers. The popularity of hits such as Telephone and Poker Face have pushed her above channels such as The Twilight Saga at 980 million views.

Meanwhile, Akon says Lady Gaga's success has made Christina Aguilera insecure and that she has "stepped out of her shell to become something different".

"Aguilera shouldn't have anything to prove or anyone to compete with. I miss the old Christina Aguilera. She had a way about how she went about things," accesshollywood.com quoted Akon as saying.

"But soon as Gaga came out, everything switched up. Aguilera stepped out of her own shell to become something different. I think sometimes she gets insecure because of all of the success Gaga has had, not realising that she was already successful before Gaga came out."

The two women have been compared since Gaga began hogging the limelight in 2008.
