He may not have lived to see his last film Jab Tak Hai Jaan release, but the Chopra clan intends to organise a grand premiere in Mumbai on November 12 as a “fitting tribute” to legendary director Yash Chopra.

“I want to give my husband an unforgettable farewell,” said Pam Chopra, his wife, in a statement on Sunday.

Chopra, billed as the king of romance, died last week from multiple organ failure after contracting dengue.

“We have decided to have a grand premiere for his ultimate film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan exactly the way he wanted it. This is a fitting tribute to a man who would have had it no other way. I have asked my sons Aditya and Uday to go ahead with all the preparations. This premiere is our way of celebrating his illustrious life, rather than mourning it”, said Pam Chopra.

JTHJ will release in the UAE on November 13.
