Mumbai came to a standstill on Saturday as news of the death of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray spread. While the City’s cinema owners decided to cancel film screenings on Saturday and Sunday, tabloid! has learnt that the effect also reached Mumbai’s major studio Film City.

On Saturday, Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif — spurred from the success of their latest hit Jab Tak Hai Jaan -- had assembled there to shoot a special segment for the India’s Got Talent’s grand finale.

The glamorous trio, clad in beautiful Indian wear, were tipped to be the highlight of Season 4’s final episode of the massively popular reality talent-hunt contest.

According to television industry insiders, the shoot was underway when the news of Thackeray’s death reached the team. As a mark of respect to the Shiv Sena leader, the team voluntarily called off the shoot and re-scheduled it for a later date this week. With the latest development, the episode featuring Khan and his ladies is now tipped to air next Saturday.

However, the pictures that show Khan and his leading ladies in top form on the India’s Got Talent set are already doing the rounds on the internet.

This was not an isolated incident. According to reports, several actors/actress called off their film and serial shooting.

While director Karan Johar reportedly called off his photoshoot at Mehboob Studio, Salman Khan cut short his Dabangg 2 shoot and rushed to Mumbai to pay the then critically-ill leader a visit.
