Dubai: Crook: It’s Good To Be Bad, which premiered in Dubai on Wednesday, deals with the sensitive issue of racially-motivated attacks, but its lead actor insists it’s not a documentary.

“Crook deals with racism on a superficial level. It’s not a documentary that becomes preachy. At the end of the day, it’s a typical Bollywood potboiler with romance, thrills, songs and entertainment,” said Hashmi in an interview with tabloid!

The movie which stars Emraan Hashmi, is about Indians living in Australia.
Mohit Suri, who directed it, and made Zeher and Woh Lamhe is quick to agree with Hashmi. “I made sure that my film doesn’t attack any class, nation or race. It’s not about pointing fingers towards Australians per se. After all, there’s good and bad in everybody. And you need to understand that racism is such a grey area. I have tried to make a sensitive and entertaining film,” said Suri.

Actress Neha Sharma makes her debut in the film. “I am so excited to be in Dubai for the premiere for my first Bollywood film. It’s such an important day for me because I can’t wait to see how the audience in Dubai would react to my film and my performance,” said Sharma, who previously acted in two Telugu films.
