Dubai: Irrfan Khan’s Paan Singh Tomar is not the only cinematic gem from India to be showcased at the forthcoming Abu Dhabi International Film Festival.

On October 15, acclaimed actors Nandana Sen and Prosenjit Chatterjee will premiere their Bengali film Autograph in the capital at 10.15pm at CineStar 5 at the Marina Mall.

As the title suggests, the directorial debut of Srijit Mukherji exposes the glitzy world of cinema, showing its pitfalls and its larger-than-life players. Autograph revolves around the lives of a superstar, a young director and a theatre actress, who come together while making a film.

Both Sen and Chatterjee will attend the festival. While 48-year-old Chatterjee is one of the biggest stars in Bengali cinema, with more than 200 films to his credit, Sen too has managed to carve a niche in Indian parallel cinema with films such as Rang Rasiya.

Tickets for Autograph can be purchased at www.abudhabifilmfestival.ae.
