Juma appointed film festival chairman
Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) yesterday announced the appointment of Abdul Hamid Juma, Deputy Director General, Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority as the Chairman of DIFF.
Dubai: Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) yesterday announced the appointment of Abdul Hamid Juma, Deputy Director General, Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority as the Chairman of DIFF.
Juma will oversee the operations of the film festival and facilitate its growth as the region's leading international Arab film festival. Juma said, "I am honoured to be involved in the continuous evolution of DIFF under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the Honorary Chairmanship of Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Department of Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group."
DIFF 2006 will be held from December 10-17.
